How we work
"Catalyst" working methods
"Catalyst" working methods
Let's clarify this right away because it's what everyone wants to know:
Why the "Catalysts" co. ?
"The "Catalyst typically speeds up a reaction by reducing the energy needed or changing the mechanism of the reaction. "
"The Catalyst bonds the different elements together in order to generate new outcomes and have a new fresh situation with new elements. "
QED.
"Catalysing" social & environmental projects is, by definition, creating or improving the impacts of your actions... with less.
A kind of project booster.
How does it actually work ?
We listen and observe.
We ask questions, to gain a better understanding of the existing situation, in its entirety: the ecosystem, the history, the "why?", the methods, etc.
We step ahead. We use our "fresh eyes". We bring different perspectives. We open new doors.
We listen again.
We combine the right people, the right tools and the right conditions to create innovative solutions.
We listen. Yes, again.
We support the evolution of ideas, using our field knowledge and experience.
We maintain the focus on long-term impacts.
We celebrate brilliant ways of achieving more with less. Less energy, fewer resources, less time, less money, less process for more impact.
We keep listening.
We stick beside you throughout all the steps. Before, during and after.
We support the implementation of simple, frugal, creative ideas.

Inclusiveness
We are deeply committed to a more sustainable, more diverse and thus more inclusive society that supports the most disadvantaged and excluded.
We firmly believe that those who cannot express themselves today are the inspiration and inventors of tomorrow.
For this reason, we have an integrational, participative approach, with strong community involvement building bridges and making connections between different actors: communities, the corporate world, nonprofits, governments, institutions and individuals.
It is essential to involve all actors, but it is even more important that these actors reflect the local reality and diversity.
So, we want to work with “you” as a company or organization but also "you" as a person, as a member of a family, as a citizen, as an ethical professional, as a dreamer, as a person with values, as an actor of tomorrow.
A "catalyst" of change.

Agility is the key
Catalysts must be agile throughout the process of innovation. Indeed, agility stems from adaptability and creativity.
The main idea is to stay alert and flexible, responding quickly to changes at any stage of the project, even anticipating the changes ahead.
In our working methods,
-
we divide the tasks into short, efficient steps
-
we deliver outcomes promptly and regularly
-
we put people and relations first
-
we collaborate and work as a "team" with our clients
-
we don't have just one plan but multiple plans that evolve with needs
Positive
We are realistic because we are experienced and, consequently, we are very positive because we know from experience that what we do will impact.
We talk about solutions not problems.
We target the future. We believe in tomorrow and we believe in the actors of tomorrow.

Manon Shearn
Consultant, The Catalysts' Co.
Digital Marketing Manager, Le Wagon
Hi, I'm Manon, 25 years old and originally from France but currently living in Melbourne, Australia.
After finishing my Master’s degree in international business, I wanted to use my skills to promote Inclusion. So, I undertook a mission for LP4Y in India and France which gave me a great understanding of the LP4Y ecosystem, and provided proof that digital transformation and inclusion go incredibly well together! In every role, I have always tried to have a direct and positive impact, which is why joining LP4Y's The Catalysts’ Co. was so important to me. I'm really happy to put my digital marketing skills to good use in my role as a catalyst of change 🚀
When I’m not working, I'm singing pop songs, studying astrology or looking after my plants.

If I was a work of art, I would be The Kiss by Gustav Klimt. Did you know that the original is actually nearly 2 meters x 2 meters? It blew my mind when I saw it!

Our team

Gaelle Muraca
Project Manager and Consultant, The Catalysts' Co.
Following my childhood dream of saving the planet, I qualified as an engineer, but none of the career opportunities available to me felt right. A life-changing year in Colombia with the "comunidades de los barrios" finally took me into the field, doing work that benefited both people and planet. That was 10 years ago.
Where do I get my strength? From Nature, meditation, the genuine smiles of children, the resilience of excluded people, the colors of interculturality, the synergies between the opposite worlds that exist within the world.

If I was a plant, I would be a bamboo. With hundreds of uses (including food !), this highly sustainable "big grass" takes just 3-4 years to grow as strong as steel.
-
If I was a book, I would be L'ame du Monde by Frédéric Lenoir for its deep, inspiring wisdom, love and tolerance.

Victorine Alisse
Photojournalist, self-employed
I am a photojournalist based in Paris, working in the North and South-West of France.
After studying international relations and humanitarian action, I took an eight-month backpacking trip to Latin America, before devoting myself to photography. I see it as a way to showcase the reality of people living on the margins of society. I have developed a documentary approach to photography and choose societal subjects.
I have a deep interest in issues related to agriculture, and try to understand today’s farmers and the challenges they are facing.
My work is published in the press and by humanitarian associations.
